How Hybrid Synergy Drive Works
- At Low Speeds (EV Mode): The vehicle operates solely on electric power drawn from the high-voltage hybrid traction battery, resulting in zero fuel consumption and zero emissions in city traffic.
- Under Normal Driving: Power is seamlessly distributed between the Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine and electric motor via an intelligent power-split device.
- During Acceleration: Both the gasoline engine and high-torque electric motor work simultaneously to deliver responsive, instant acceleration.
- Regenerative Braking: Deceleration kinetic energy is captured by the motor-generator and converted into electricity to recharge the hybrid battery without external charging cables.
