Stepping up from the standard trims, the W×B doubles down on its premium identity with exclusive dark-chrome exterior accents and the signature smoked-glass LED lighting. This year’s big update is the standardization of the 12.3-inch digital "Combimeter" cluster and the latest Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, ensuring the tech inside matches the sharp aesthetic outside. While the 1.8L hybrid system remains the efficiency leader, the W×B's real appeal lies in its "Silent Design" cabin, which uses advanced sound-deadening materials to offer a ride quality that feels significantly more expensive than its price tag suggests.
It stands for "White × Black." Originally launched as a limited edition, it became a permanent top trim designed to offer a "monotone" high-fashion look using high-contrast colors and premium interior materials not found on the G or X grades.
Mechanically, it uses the same 1.8L hybrid or 1.5L gas engines. However, the W×B often feels more composed because of its slightly wider 17-inch wheels and low-profile tires, which offer sharper steering response than the 15 or 16-inch wheels on base trims.
Like most modern Toyota hybrids, the W×B Hybrid usually replaces the spare tire with a Puncture Repair Kit to save weight and make room for the hybrid battery. If you opt for the non-hybrid gas version, a space-saver spare is typically included.
The 2026 model ditches the old analog/digital hybrid gauges for a fully digital 12.3-inch display across all W×B units. It also features the new "Samara" sustainable fabric options and upgraded USB-C ports throughout the cabin.
