Yes. For the 2026 redesign, Mazda has retired the physical rotary knob in favor of a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen. This marks a major shift in Mazda’s "distraction-free" philosophy, moving toward a smartphone-like interface powered by Google.

The 4.5-inch increase in wheelbase almost entirely benefits the rear passengers. Legroom, knee room, and headroom have all seen significant gains, and the rear doors now open wider (nearly 90 degrees) to make loading car seats much easier.

Not at launch. The 2026 model debuts with the updated 2.5L gas engine. A Mazda-developed hybrid powertrain is confirmed to join the lineup for the 2027 model year, promising significantly higher MPG for city commuters.
