Sharing its bones with the Mazda3, the CX-30 offers a slightly elevated seating position and standard AWD across all trims. It’s widely considered the "best-dressed" in its class, trading rugged plastic-heavy looks for a sleek, sweeping silhouette and a cabin that feels significantly more expensive than its price tag suggests.
The CX-30 offers 8.0 inches of ground clearance, compared to just 5.5 inches on the Mazda3. This extra height makes it much better for navigating snow-clogged driveways or light gravel paths without worrying about the underbody.
It is snug. While it seats five, the rear legroom (36.3 inches) is better suited for children or shorter adults. If you frequently carry tall passengers, you may find the sloped roofline slightly limits headroom compared to boxier rivals.
The Aire Edition is a new style-focused trim. It features unique White Leatherette seats with Gray Suede dash inserts, blacked-out exterior badging, and black 18-inch wheels, giving the CX-30 a high-fashion, high-contrast look.
Partially. The 10.25-inch screen found on higher trims supports touch functionality only when using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. For Mazda’s native menus, you use the tactile "Commander" rotary dial to minimize driver distraction.
